The families of two children who were sickened by E. coli poisoning have filed lawsuits against meat producers who allegedly supplied tainted hamburger meat. The lawsuits names New York-based Fairbank Farms and Massachusetts-based South Shore Meats. Both cases were filed in Plymouth County Superior Court. South Shore Meats has recalled some of its ground beef after health authorities linked the products to E. coli cases.
