A Massachusetts family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against more than 36 police officers they claim are directly and indirectly responsible for the fatal beating of Kenneth R. Howe at a North Andover sobriety checkpoint on Thanksgiving Day. While Massachusetts police authorities claimed Howe died of natural causes, the medical examiner�??s report cited the beating as the cause of death.
