Goya Foods has issued a recall of packages of its frozen mamey fruit pulp after it was found the food may cause typhoid fever. The recall was instigated after the FDA found traces of salmonella that is linked to typhoid in the product . There have been seven confirmed cases of typhoid fever in California and Nevada.
