Internet Games Bilked Consumers, Lawsuit Claims
A California woman has filed a lawsuit accusing the makers of a popular computer game of scamming consumers through special offers from advertisers. In the lawsuit, Rebecca Swift alleges that she was illegally charged more than $200 when she tried to sign up for extra game credits for YoVille, a popular virtual-world game developed by Zynga. The suit seeks class-action status on behalf consumers taken by similar offers.
