A Port Arthur, Texas, hospital has been found negligent by a Jefferson County jury for their treatment of a woman who died of a heart attack after visiting the emergency room on Jan. 21. The jury awarded $1.3 million to the family of Stacy Meaux. The jury found that Christus St. Mary Hospital and Dr. Michael Peterson �??committed willful or wanton negligence�?� while treating Meaux.
