Lawsuit: Company Illegally Changed Health Benefits
NewPage Corp. retirees in Dayton, Ohio, are claiming in a lawsuit filed last week that the company has violated a collective bargaining agreement to eliminate subsidies for their healthcare premiums. The lawsuit states that labor agreements give NewPage no right to unilaterally shift health-care costs to employees once they have retired. The lawsuit is seeking damages to cover attorney fees and an injunction to keep the company from modifying the health benefits
