The Louisville Metro police were negligent in the death of teenager who died following a high-speed chase with police, a lawsuit filed by family members claims. In the lawsuit, the family of Aaron Shields alleges that police should have known the vehicle contained minors and that the chase was dangerous and unnecessary, reports the Louisville Courier-Journal. Shields was a passenger getting a ride home from a youth group event at the time of the accident. The suit also names the organizer of the event Youth Alive.
