A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a Cape Cora, Fla., police officer after he suffered severe head injuries during a car accident on June 2. The Fort Myers News-Press reported that Officer Damien Garcia was on duty when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle. The driver and passenger in the vehicle are named as defendants in the lawsuit. Damages in the case could exceed $50 million, Garciaâ??s attorney said.
