Staten Island Ferry Crash Victim Awarded $813K
A New York woman who was one of many injured in a 2003 Staten Island Ferry crash was awarded $813,480 by a federal judge Thursday for back, arm, neck and shoulder injuries along with pain and suffering damages. Annamarie Trombetta testified that she has been experiencing chronic pain since the accident. The city has already paid more than $160 million to 162 of the passengers who were injured in the crash when the captain lost consciousness at the wheel and crashed.
