University Settles Brain Injury Lawsuit
La Salle University has agreed to pay $7.5 million to resolve a lawsuit filed on behalf of a former football player who was left with a severe brain injury during a 2005 game. According to the lawsuit, the university failed to properly care for the player after he suffered a concussion a month before the game in which the brain injury occurred. An attorney for the player said his client now requires 24-hour care.
