Woman Can Pursue Suit Over Apartment Fire, Court Rules
The Nebraska Supreme Court has revived a lawsuit against the owners of an Omaha apartment building that was the site of deadly fire in 2006. The high court held that Maria Ofelia Corona de Camargo may seek damages for from the owners and managers of the Colonial House Apartments for pain and suffering. However, the court held that a wrongful death claim was barred because it was not brought within the statute of limitations.
