Woman Files Suit Againt Sheriff’s Dept. For Husband’s Death
An Illinois widow is suing the Kane County sheriff’s department and Linda Knotts, saying officers should have arrested Knotts during a March traffic stop – instead she was issued a citation and later killed the plaintiff’s husband in a two-car accident. In the lawsuit, Rhonda McKenzie claims that Knotts was driving under the influence, and should have been given more than an improper lane usage citation that night. The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.
